Carmen Morreale, C.J’s Sewing Machine Service’s Master Technician

Carmen started repairing sewing machines at a very young age…. As the story goes his father Vincent Morreale (founder of Mor Real Sewing Machine Centers) gave Carmen a toy tool kit for his 8th Christmas. Carmen proceeded to take all the screws out of the kitchen chairs. When his mother (who was carrying his sister) sat in the chair; it collapsed to the floor. It is then that Carmen started his sewing machine repairing career, with his mother’s command to take him to the sewing machine shop. So at 8 years old he started to learn how to clean and disassemble sewing machines.

In 1967 Carmen and his family traveled to Husqvarna Sweden to the Viking Sewing Machine Factory. There Carmen met with the head engineers and gave them suggestions for repair procedure improvements and improvements in their new models. He holds a special commendation given by the Husqvarna Factory,
for technical design and repair procedure improvements introduced at the Viking factory.
